"To love means loving the unlovable. To forgive means pardoning the unpardonable. Faith means believing the unbelievable. Hope means hoping when everything seems hopeless."

--G.K. Chesterton

There was once a man who, in his youth, professed his desire to become a great writer. When asked to define "great", he said: "I want to write stuff that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream, cry, howl in pain and anger!"
He now writes error messages for Microsoft Corporation.

Here is yet another link that leads to a wonderful website of good people doing good things. Recently, I've been hearing a lot about poronography awareness and protection. It's become a real plauge, a danger and a threat to all of humanity. It's not the most pleasant subject, but I feel, especially since I've learned so many great ways to protect myself from it, and especially since this blog is something you find on the computer, where pornography is a particular danger, that I ought to share a link to this website: http://www.fightthenewdrug.org/
It goes to the homepage, where you can see their video, which is highly recommended to watch. So feel free to check it out, and be a part of the fight against poronography, and the standing up for what's good and wholesome and upllifting.

Be not afeard. The isle is full of noises,
Sounds, and sweet airs that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices
That, if I then had waked after long sleep,
Will make me sleep again. And then, in dreaming,
The clouds methought would open and show riches
Ready to drop upon me, that when I waked
I cried to dream again.

I Am Me

Let em' think what they will
Let em' think what they want
That doesn't change the person you are

Let em' say what they will
Let em' say what they want
That doesn't change the person you are

You are who you'll be
So take my advice
And say to yourself,
I am Me

Here is another link to a fantastic website I heard about today in church for the random acts of kindness foundation. (Who knew there was one?) The link goes to the first page of random acts of kindness ideas, and it really does give you good ideas on how to just be a good and kind person and help make this world a better place.  Again, feel free to explore on it. They've got a lot of great stuff to look at and take back to do on your own as well. http://www.randomactsofkindness.org/kindness-ideas

A few wonderful quotes from "Great Expectations", by Charles Dickens: (Really great book by the way; You should read it. :)

"In the little world in which children have their existence, whosoever brings them up, there is nothing so finely perceived and so finely felt as injustice."

"If a dread of not being understood be hidden in the breasts of other young people to anything like the extent of which it used to be hidden in mine...it is the key to many reservations."

"That was memorable day to me, for it made great changes in me. But, it is the same with any life. Imagine one selected day struck out of it, and think how different its course would have been."

What do you say when you're comforting a dying grammar school teacher?
    "There, they're, their."

Why did the student take a ladder to school?
Becuase they were going to high school.

Here is a quote that expounds perfectly on the complexities of the Civil War from "Across Fiver Aprils":

"The South and the North and the East and the West -we all started it. The old slavers of other days and the fact'ry owners of today that need high tariffs to help 'em get rich, and the cotton growers that need slave labor to help 'em git rich and the new territories and wild talk -...I hate slavery,...but I hate another slavery of people workin' their lives away in dirty fact'ries fer a wage that kin scarce keep life in 'em; I hate succession, but at the same time I can't see how a whole region kin be able to live if their way of life is all of a sudden upset, I hat talk of nullification, but at the same time I hate laws passed by congress that favors one part of a country and hurts the other."
