The news of late at our home is Basketball and music recitals and concerts.
Alex and Austin just completed an exciting basketball season--both of them improving their skills tremendously. Alex was the "never miss foul shot man" as well as a great overall player. His "hook shot" isn't bad either... Austin has become a fantastic ball handler this season and has shown great potential in all around basketball skill. We, as a family had so much fun watching their games this winter.
Anna and Alex play with the Pro Arte Chamber Strings (copy web address for upcoming concerts and info.http://www.oregonproarte.org/home_set.html) They just finished two concerts-- the Holiday concert which was postponed to January due to inclement weather and the "Short 'n Suite" concert held in February--which showcases the musicians in the learning orchestras. Their next concert will be at the Children's theater in Portland this Saturday, March 14th, 2009 where they play during intermission. The final concert this season falls to the first of May.
Alex and Anna also have a piano recital this Friday night as well as the Solo and Ensemble middle school competition and the upcoming Romantic Festival in April. Ashley and Austin are plugging along to their next Recitals which will be the end of April.

We are bright, standing in the light, doing what's right.
We are smart, We are nice, and we don't have lice!
